One of the activities BORAH engages in is in assisting vulnerable youth with education and job creation

Health Assistance to Children and Single Mums

Meet 30yrs old mother of six. After giving birth to three health children Naiga became pregnant with triples before the kids were born she lost the husband and the father of her kids. She has managed to care for them but she struggles with preventing education, clothes and medical care. As for the hitting g poverty in Africa her situation has worsened the papers concerning the house are with the bank until the land is paid in full. .

The children lack education
The mother is a fighter who make sure that kids don’t go to bed hunger. Due to lack of funds the kids are not in school. She cannot afford to pay tuition and providing the basic needs she works in a convent as a helper where she gets paid 70,00.00 Ugandan Shillings pee month which is about 25$,which is not enough for her to prevent medical care, clothing, and feeding them. BORAH is helping education, clothes, medical care and mirco finance for her to start a small business

Caring for Abandoned Children and Orphans

Meet Habiba, who lives in Uganda, at the outskirt of the capital , Kampala. She was abandoned by her mother at the age of three. She is six years old now (in 2018) and under the care of BORAH. Through donations from supporters of BORAH, she has been provided with food, clothing shelter, and a care taker.

A future BORAH project seeks to provide a home where orphans and abandoned children will be housed

This Precious girl her name is Shifra. Her mother died when she was only two months old. When she was brought to BORAH she was malnourished, had kwashiorkor and she was very weak. Her father is a local worker, with about nine children and could not take care of her. She is now one year and five months old. ( Jan, 2018).

Meet Nulu, from the outskirts of Kampala, in Uganda. She is Ten years old (in 2018). When Nulu was four years old her mother started working the night shift on the streets of Kampala she was left alone to take care of herself. Nullu came under the care of BORAH when she was five years old. .

 The BORAH-UTILGUA Project on Guarismo, Colombia

Guarisimo is a subdivision of María La Baja, , in the Bolívar department Colombia.It has a population of about 1.500, comprising of more than 70 families, living in vulnerable conditions, the majority of whom were displaced by violence. The economy is based on livestock and crop farming.

In Guarismo, there is one school for preschool and primary level education. However, few of the children go to school for the sole reason that their parents cannot afford basic school supplies such as pencils and notebooks, not to mention footwear and school uniform. .

Assisting Vulnerable Youth with Education and Job Creation

One of the activities BORAH engages in is in assisting vulnerable youth with education and job creation … Candidates are selected according to need and level of vulnerability. .

One success case is this young man, Akello who was helped in his education by BORAH. He was also assisted in starting a farming business.

Akello is mow self sufficient and is able to take xare of his whole family. He hopes not only to employ other in the future but also to offer training programs in agro-business for the youth
